Not only did Dave repair the foot and secure all the casters he made the missing piece, stained it exactly to match, checked all legs and added brass rings to stabilise the casters. “We recently bought a second-hand wooden rocking chair for the cabin--but the arm rests were loose and it made a clicking noise when we rocked in it. Its color and sheen were dull, and it looked like a puppy had chewed on the back of one of the rockers. It could use some "TLC", but other than structural issues, it was ok as is for the cabin. I found LOC Furniture Repair online and gave Dave Jordan a call--he was friendly and approachable. When we brought the chair to his house, Dave quickly assessed what needed to be done to address the loose joints: the chair had to be taken apart and re-glued. He also added extra components to the factory-made chair to strengthen the joints--Dave made the structure of our rocking chair better than new. Without us asking, he sanded down the puppy-chewed part and then went over the entire chair with a tinted polish, which brought back its original sheen and color--it is now a beautiful piece of furniture. And--he gave us a felt-lined tape to put on the rocker so that it wouldn't mark up our hardwood floors. How thoughtful!
